An easy way for you, a business owner, to quickly increase quality web site traffic is to go to forums and post a link back to your main web site. It may sound like a daunting task, but I assure you it is as easy as 1-2-3. Listed below are 6 easy steps to creating FREE backlinks to your web site.
1.Do a Google search on the subject that is relevant to your web site e.g. (web development) 2.Click on one of the results. Once in the web site look for a forum link. If you don?t find one just go to the next search result. 3.When you find a forum link, click it and look for the register link. 4.Once registered you will receive activation either by e-mail or instantly. 5.Upon activation access the forum and look for a preferences link. Be sure to set the signature with a link back to your main site. (note: some forums do not allow links or html to be used, I avoid these) 6.Now just search for topics you want to comment on or start new topics.
The idea here is to find postings that you can comment on. Once you leave your comment it will also leave behind your signature with a link to your web site.
As you look at posting on different forums, it is important to know if they allow backlinks. There is an easy way to find out without having to read through all of the forum rules. A program called ChromEdit Plus will show which links do not follow back to a specific web site. Any no follow link will be highlighted with a pink box and red dotted line. In order to use ChromEdit Plus you will also need to download Mozilla Firefox on your computer. Listed below are the steps to install both programs.
1.Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and click on the ?download now? button. This will begin the Firefox installation. 2.Go through the pop-up box instructions. Click ?finished? on the last screen and now Firefox is installed. 3.Now you are ready to install ChromEdit Plus. Open a new window in Firefox. Go to http://webdesigns.ms11.net/chromeditp.html and click on ?install.? 4.A pop-up box will appear. Click ?install now.? 5.After the installation is complete a pop-up box will appear. Click ?restart Firefox.? 6.Once Firefox has restarted go to Tools-ChromEdit Plus-ChromEdit. 7.Click on the userContent css tab. Delete all the information in the tab and paste the following: a[rel~="nofollow"] {border: thin dashed firebrick ! important;background-color: rgb(255, 200, 200) ! important;} 8.Click ?save? and then ?restart.? 9.Go to http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/seeing-nofollow-links/ and you should see a pink box with dotted line around the phrase ?this link should have a pink box and dotted red line around it? at the top of the page.
Now that your installation is complete you are ready to start increasing quality website traffic for FREE.
