The Quarter Wiki brings you Traffic and Profits for just a Quarter

(PRWEB) December 2, 2007 -- Zedomax Network has just launched a new paid online encyclopedia called QuarterWiki.com (http://quarterwiki.com) where users can buy a page for just a quarter. Users can use their pages to write their own definition of words in the encyclopedia or simply use it to promote their website, e-store, blog or any other products or services.

"Unlike Wikipedia, the pages users buy will solely have their content and no one else's. Users can also add YouTube videos, Google AdSense ads and Google Maps among many features being added to the site daily."

Wikipedia's financial system is built on donations whereas the Quarter Wiki is based on charging a quarter to each page. Time will tell which system is more effective at building great content but at the cost of a quarter, users can take advantage by acting early. If Wikipedia had a similar system, pages on the Wikipedia could have be been sold for thousands of dollars today.

Why are they charging money for pages? Rather than using annoying CAPTCHA or any other SPAM filtering devices, the Quarter Wiki is able to overcome spam by charging a small fee for each page.

In addition, the company has also developed a customized, automated payment system and automated RSS Feeds into each page. What does this do? This allows users to create content and RSS Feeds are generated automatically, just like a blog. Internet users can now have same technologies used in blogs without owning a blog.

The paid wiki buzz was started with Graham Langdon, the creator of the Million Dollar Wiki (http://milliondollarwiki.com). Graham has had great success with his wiki site, making over $100,000 in a period of about 6 months. The Business page on the Million Dollar Wiki had been sold for over $6000 on eBay with some users buying up to 15 pages at a time. Graham is now pursuing another great website called EntreCard (http://EntreCard.com), a tool for bloggers to advertise for free using 125x125 pixel widgets.

The Quarter Wiki is created by Zedomax Network (http://Zedomax.net), a Web 2.0 company that specializes in Blogs, Social Networks, and Paid Wiki sites.

The company has created similar sites previously and has had some success with its One Buck Wiki (http://onebuckwiki.com), the site selling over 1000 pages in just 11 days. They have also launched EntreWiki (http://entrewiki.com) last week, a focused niche site for Entrepreneurs and people looking to start a new business.

Although it's too early to tell whether the Internet users can digest another paid wiki site, the Quarter Wiki brings Internet users true value for their money at just a quarter per page.
