New Power Guides Online Community Conveniently Links Bloggers With Like Interests

Due to his wife Callie?s personal need to discover who in her own blogging community had posted something new for the day, Steve Pearson created the blog aggregator to cut back on the time it once took to blindly browse for new posts.

?I realized and understood that if I wanted people to visit and comment on my blog, I needed to go out to other bloggers and comment on their latest posts,? Callie says, ?but I would spend 75 percent of my time going to blogs where the blogger was busy, sick or just had nothing to say for a few days.?

To combat this problem, Pearson generated The Power Guides website as an easy way to include all the blogs on his wife?s blog roll, including her Horse and Multiple Sclerosis blogging communities. He also identified a number of additional categories and created a Power Guides tool for her to include on her own blogs.

Now, the new website includes eight separate online ?guides? that include Environment, Bird Watchers, Fishing, Gardening, Teaching and Farming with many more planned for the near future.

The innovative blogging technology provides a way for new bloggers to be seen since each guide is designed to give equal opportunity for latest posts regardless of blog age or history.

As the guides have developed, blogs or RSS feeds from high traffic forums dominate the ?Latest Posts? and are moved to the ?News Feed? section of the website, meaning that bloggers who post daily and those who rarely post can still be found.

Pearson believes it is important that genuine bloggers, whether new or old, have the opportunity to be located on the internet; and he created his website with this concept in mind.

?Connecting like minded bloggers should not be about how much SEO a blogger knows or how many links they can obtain but about joining a community of others who share a common interest,? says Pearson.
